i always knew i hated valentines day but today i made it official... so i was walking home from class today with my friend who wanted to buy heart shaped bagels from nohas (dont even get me started) as well as flowers for a friend. No the point of this entry is not to go off on buying someone flowers (or heart shaped bagels), thats for another day. but i am going to say this, when we were at the flower stand about half a dozen desperate and clueless looking guys walked up and bought red roses. i wanted to shoot myself in the foot! What a pathetic attempt to win over a girls heart with red roses, i was just about to vomit when i saw a guy walking away with a big bouquet of red roses. At that very moment i stepped in front of a bus and died.

School is officially over except finals so how have I been keeping myself sane between studying?? Well tonight I ended up going to see David Broza in concert. Don't know who David Broza is neither did I before tonight. The concert was put on by a member of my Synagogue, who I have known for ages. Her son died many years ago and since then she has been supporting musical programs once a year in his honor.

I went to the concert with low expectations, feeling bad for Marina because I dragged her there. But once he started rifting his guitar my jaw dropped and I was captivated the rest of the night. At the end of the performance everyone gave him a standing ovation and roaring applauds. Seconds later he returned to the stage to play two more songs whos titles had been yelled out throughout the audience.

The final piece was very moving and one of his oldest and most famous songs. It was all about Israel and peace. I was floored, the energy and sound that filled the room captivated my essence. I was so moved and yet I could not understand all of what he was saying because the song was in Hebrew.

After the show Marina Jeremy and I went back to their place and watched Quills, one of my new favorites. This was a perfect way to celebrate the of ending the semester. Now let the studying begin!!

due to the GSI strike i have no class on Thursday meaning tomorrow is my last day of class this semester. I have so many people to thank, I don’t know where to begin. *tear*

Anywho... I also just realized that my first two finals are on the 15th of December, so you ask why do I a person with nothing better to do than read other peoples live journals care when your first two finals are. Ill tell you... that means I have no school for 12 freaking days!!

Did you hear me 12 days... why aren’t you more excited??

Well I don’t care what you think I am overjoyed whoopee (pee… ill never get tired of that)

Now I'm back to finishing my final paper of the year. Good luck to all of my Berkeley Buds (and I guess everyone else in College) on your daunting finals.

So today is the perfect day to write my FIRST entry in my LJ (hehe i even know what all the cool cats call it!!) Today was a wonderful day!! Starting with my History of Art teacher who is absolutely certifiable told us our HUGE paper has been pushed back a whole week. Then I had dinner with my bestest buddy and we talked for like 2 hours. After dinner we went to this super rad Photo Club with (what seem like) a super awesome group of people. And to finish it off I'm off to eat ice cream and watch queer eye upstairs.
